A note from Danielle about the photographs in her book:
As an independent publisher, I found it is cost prohibitive to add color pictures to my book. I felt that it was preferable to use black and white photographs than to have none at all because it is helpful to know what a particular dish should look like when it is completed. However, color is an integral part of vegetarian cooking and you really can’t appreciate the true beauty of these foods in a black and white format. For this reason I have included this page of the book’s food photographs so you will have all of these pictures available for you in color.
The numerous foundational recipes explaining how to cook grains, pastas, potatoes, beans and various simple vegetable recipes, are printed without photographs.
